Your communication and research expertise is required by the Ministry of Education (EDU) to develop mechanisms for the effective promotion/communication of the ministrys research strategy to support evidence-based policy and program development.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will design, develop and implement knowledge mobilization and communication strategies/plans, and develop, produce and coordinate the dissemination of research project communication materials to internal and external stakeholders. You will also establish/build branch information/data base resources and participate in the design, development and implementation of research/analytical models to support ministry research projects. You will be responsible to conduct research/analysis on assigned education issues and trends, prepare research reports, and participate in the impact analysis of research studies on ministry legislation, policies, and programs.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

Knowledge of communication, knowledge mobilization, and corporate communication principles and practices to design, develop and produce communication publications and related communication tools; knowledge of research theory/principles, methods, models and techniques to support the development, implementation and communication of a research strategy and related systems, processes, methods and tools; organizational, research and analytical skills to determine research scope and parameters, gather data from a variety of sources, compile and assess information, and prepare reports of findings; consultation and communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to gather/exchange research information and to prepare communication plans and research summaries; knowledge in the use of internet/intranet computer applications/tools for the communication/promotion of research project information to internal and external stakeholders.
