Are you an experienced I&IT professional? Do you demonstrate strong leadership abilities? If this sounds like you, then consider this challenging opportunity at the Ministry of Transporation, Road User Safety Application Solutions Branch where you will be relied upon to provide senior technical consulting expertise.
As a part of this branch, you will be a lead technical resource and work with a group of highly skilled professionals. You will identify methodologies, system development and maintenance environment, criteria and techniques associated with the development and maintenance of data and databases. You will set an example with respect to compliance with standards, procedures and best practices and guidelines that adhere to government policies.
Qualifications:Knowledge of data base development methodology, programming languages, data base concepts, data storage and retrieval techniques; knowledge of application macro-architecture development, integration and migration methods; application micro-architecture selection and optimization process. Experience with multi-tiered web-based mission-critical application development and support. Knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence tools. Large-scale data conversion experience. Knowledge of current state of the art and emerging trends in I&IT technologies, business data and process modeling, reengineering and redesign. In-depth experience in Systems Development Life Cycle (Waterfall and Iterative), feasibility study, requirements definition, design and analysis, prototyping, implementation, testing and maintenance. Strong leadership and project management skills. Proven customer service relationship and service management skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to understand, interpret and apply government directives, standards, policies and guidelines (e.g. data management and application development, human resources, financial and business planning and management).
