Apply your analytical skills and knowledge of economics and statistics in this rewarding role. Join the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and the newly created Strategic Policy and Programs Division.

As a Forecasting Specialist in the Planning Unit, you will undertake research and analysis and the development of demand and capacity forecasting models in support of Ontario`s postsecondary system and labour market programs; measure performance and outcomes; conduct research, including inter-jurisdictional comparisons; and manage large data sets.

Qualifications:knowledge of economics, statistics, finance, and/or public administration, or equivalent experience that demonstrates skills in economic analysis and statistical research and modelling techniques; superior analytical skills and excellent policy skills to administer and analyse programs, policies and procedures; demonstrated ablity to review and analyze policies, procedures and project proposals and formulate options for change; demonstrated computer skills including data modelling and MS Office applications; strong oral and written communication skills; proven ability to work under tight time constraints, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
