Bring your project management expertise and leadership abilities to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Health Capital Investment Branch, where you will manage and coordinate the ministry`s review, decision making and approval processes for health capital projects within assigned Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) geographical areas.

Reporting to the Manager of a Capital Project Unit, You will coordinate all aspects of the review and decision making for health capital redevelopment project submissions, and ensure compliance to industry best practices while meeting ministry goal and objectives. You will consult with LHINs to ensure alignment of capital projects with LHIN program and service priorities. As well, you will represent the health capital program with key stakeholders and health service partners, and at ministry and government meetings, cross functional teams and other working groups.

Qualifications:Extensive knowledge and experience with project management methodology, health capital project development, and implementation requirements and processes, the health care system and service delivery models, governance and funding mechanisms, and the roles of LHINs and Infrastructure Ontario; excellent leadership, communication and relationship management skills to direct a consultant team in the management of the ministry`s role with respect to health capital projects; ability to balance a demanding workload to conduct the project review process across the ministry and with multiple stakeholders; strong analytical and problem solving skills to resolve complex program and project issues, and strong negotiation and strategic planning skills; strong stakeholder management skills to gain support for the ministry`s direction with respect to Ontario`s health capital program; proficiency with word processing, database management and spreadsheet applications.
