Do you want to play a role in ensuring a sustainable health care system for Ontario? The newly created Health Capital Investment Branch in the Health System Information Management and Investment Division is looking for an Architect experienced in the healthcare sector.

Working in the Capital Project Management Office you will: provide expertise and consultative direction on capital projects across the province; work with the Senior Architect to develop and communicate capital project management best practices and guidelines to project managers, provide expert advice to health care facilities and partners engaged in capital infrastructure projects; engage stakeholders in project related issues; participate in the approval process for capital projects; build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders and partners in the healthcare sector.

Qualifications:Registration with full qualifications in the Ontario Association of Architects; proven knowledge and experience as a licensed architect in the design, construction and renovation of healthcare facilities and public buildings; extensive knowledge of Ontario regulations and codes specific to healthcare facilities; extensive knowledge of construction techniques in related fields (e.g., structural, electrical or mechanical engineering, etc); demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience in healthcare functional program design, health capital planning and design, and public sector approval processes; excellent project management and stakeholder relationship skills; excellent conceptual, analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills; demonstrated consultation, negotiation, facilitation, verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, VISIO, PowerPoint and Outlook, AutoCAD, email, Internet and Intranet applications.
