Are you a highly motivated professional engineer looking for an opportunity to utilize your knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of geotechnical engineering and pavement design to help make provincial highways safer and more efficient?

If so, then consider this exciting opportunity with the Ministry of Transportation, northeastern region to provide engineering services for highway expansion, rehabilitation projects, foundation, rock fall hazard and other issues. You will provide these services while working with a multi-disciplinary team composed of professionals involved in highway design, construction and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:knowledge of theories, principles and practices of geotechnical engineering, pavement evaluation, pavement design and related engineering materials with respect to the design, construction and maintenance of highways; sound knowledge and skills to implement engineering, technical and administrative policies, procedures, standards, specifications and regulations with respect to pavement evaluation, pavement design and related engineering materials; working knowledge of quality assurance, estimating, budgeting and environmental issues related to highway engineering; knowledge in project management and consultant acquisition and administration procedures; sound analytical, decision-making, organizational skills and judgement; excellent computer software skills such as word processing and spreadsheets; valid driver`s licence with acceptable driving record; ability to travel to conduct fieldwork and overnight travel is required. Applicants must be licensed by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
