Are you knowledgeable about the production and financing of film, television or interactive digital media products and the trends, issues and concerns of those cultural media industries? Are you looking for a progressive leadership role that requires work on a variety of time sensitive initiatives and requires an attention to details? Then join the Ontario Media Development Corporation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture where you will have a direct impact on the financing of Media Development in Ontario!

You will: implement performance measurement mechanisms and administrative processes; supervise and provide technical direction to a team of Business Officers to support the Provinces tax credit and financing programs such as the Intellectual Property Development Fund; provide technical expertise and recommendation to the Director related to the management of the program and administrative processes; analyze and interpret legislation and regulations; review and evaluate data to determine trends and participate in consultations with the industry and other agencies and Ministries.

Qualifications:proven knowledge of one or more areas: film or television production, or the interactive digital media industries with knowledge of the trends, issues and concerns related to the production process, financing, and marketing in those industries; superior business relationship, consultative, leadership and interpersonal skills; knowledge of public and private funding sources in Canada, financing and tax credit programs and related legislation including the Corporations Tax Act (Ontario), the Taxation Act (Ontario) and the Income Tax Act (Canada) and Regulations; superior communication and presentation skills; knowledge of program design, development and evaluation methods with knowledge of business and management methods, techniques and practices.
