A bilingual individual with a strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills would be the perfect fit to provide multiple government services at the ServiceOntario counter in North Bay. ServiceOntario centres are situated in a large number of communities around the province. Through the ServiceOntario centres members of the general public and business people can access information and services provided by the provincial, municipal and federal governments or by local community agencies.

Your primary focus will be to provide quality customer services through an integrated service network by providing timely and accurate information related to government programs, products and services. You will assist customers seeking resolution to problems, researching and networking with other service providers to appropriately refer customers` issues to them. You will also process transactions for various ministries, maintain electronic database systems, and produce a variety of reports and correspondence.

Please note, this position will be on an `as required` basis with no guarantee of the number of hours worked (0 – 36.25 hours per week).

Qualifications:proficiency in English and advanced level oral French; demonstrated superior customer service skills and well developed interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated research, problem solving and the ability to apply sound judgment when resolving customer issues and interpreting legislation, policies and procedures; financial record keeping skills and ability to handle cash and carry out accurate financial transactions for clients; proven organizational skills and ability to work independently in a high volume team environment; proven experience assisting in the training of new and existing employees; broad knowledge of government services and programs at the municipal, provincial and federal level; demonstrated ability to constantly learn and keep up to date on changes and revisions to information and processes; proficiency using computer software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, email and internet applications and accurate keyboarding skills (30 wpm) to research, retrieve and summarize information in written format.
