The Ontario Clean Water Agency, an Agency of the Ministry of Environment, seeks an experienced individual to operate and maintain water/wastewater treatment projects within the Northwestern Ontario Hub.
Qualifications:Certification in Water Treatment 2, Water Distribution 2, Wastewater Treatment 2 and Wastewater Collection 2 (or ability to obtain the same within a specified time; minimum Operator in Training certification), as specified in O. Reg. 128/04 of the Safe Drinking Water Act and O. Reg. 129/04 of the Ontario Water Resources Act”; extensive experience within and knowledge of the operation of water distribution and wastewater treatment facilities/processes; sound mathematical and record keeping skills; applied knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation techniques, practices/maintenance; basic computer skills/knowledge for process control and data entry, knowledge of sampling and chemical techniques; good oral and written communication skills; ability to perform manual labour; have a valid Class G driver`s license. Must be available for shift work, after hours, and/or on call duty.
