Do you have a keen interest in public policy and enjoy working on challenging issues? If so, then Ministry of Transportation, Road Safety Policy Office - Vehicles may have the right opportunity for you to demonstrate your policy expertise and have a positive impact on the Provinces road safety policies and programs.

You will identify emerging issueson such files as those dealing with new and emerging vehicle types, ATVs, snowmobiles, cycling, and seatbelts. You will plan and design policy and research studies; recommend changes to legislation, regulations and policies. You will work with teams to address road safety issues. You will prepare reports and briefing notes; develop and deliver presentations to internal and external groups. You will liaise with senior staff and external groups to achieve road safety objectives.

Qualifications:Experience and skills in policy development, research and analysis. Knowledge of road safety legislation, regulations, policies and issues. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present information in a logical and effective manner to different audiences. Demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to work independently with limited resources. Ability to use personal computer and related software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
