Are you a dynamic, results oriented senior leader looking for a challenging opportunity to showcase your outstanding business planning and financial management skills? If so, consider joining the Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs as Director, Business Planning & Financial Management.

As a key player of the Ministry Executive team, you will provide financial management services, expert advice, analysis and guidance to senior leaders on strategic financial controllership, accountability and reporting functions. You will: ensure the effective use of ministry fiscal resources by directing a wide range of budget, results, planning, monitoring and control activities, including all activities related to financial processing, forecasting and reporting; lead the ministry`s strategic management, business planning, performance management, project management and program evaluation activities and lead service excellence.

Qualifications:Senior leadership experience along with: advanced knowledge of the legislation, policies and practices that govern multi-year resource planning, performance measurement and reporting; expert knowledge and a demonstrated background at the executive level leading financial management, controllership, accounting and procurement initiatives; solid understanding of emerging financial issues and trends; excellent communication, consultation, project management and relationship building skills to work horizontally with internal and external partners to build and execute business strategies; sound judgment and political acuity; ability to model commitment to diversity in all aspects of work and interactions with staff; demonstrated managerial ability to build organizational capacity, develop and mentor staff to deliver on results.
