What can I expect to do in this role?

Working in a team environment under the supervision of the Cochrane/Moosonee Area Supervisor in Cochrane District, the position will assist with the monitoring and auditing of resource management/extraction activities and administer requirements of various Acts and regulations.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• Technical knowledge as well as the theory and practice of resource management principles
• Broad understanding of resource management including relevant legislation, policies and procedures
• Working knowledge of computer software packages including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, ARC Information
• Familiarity with land use issues, legislation and policies
• Knowledge of worker responsibility under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Ontario drivers license
• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
• Proof of full time enrollment in a recognized post secondary college or university or graduation within the last five years
• Candidates are only eligible to participate in a maximum of two placements
