What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• use your excellent interpersonal skills to develop, foster and facilitate partnerships with various landowners, interest groups and agencies;
• advance and promote resource management and stewardship on private and Crown lands;
• display strong leadership skills as you plan, coordinate, and promote stewardship initiatives.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory:
• You must have a valid driver's licence class 'G' or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario to attend meetings and carry out field trips.

Interpersonal skills:
• You have superior negotiation, diplomacy, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• You possess the demonstrated ability to develop relationships and deal with a broad range of people and audiences.
• You can exhibit the ability to create and maintain partnerships and act as agency liaison with the Stewardship Council.

Planning and problem-solving skills:
• You display a high level of organizational skills and ability to plan and manage projects.
• You possess strong creativity, analytical and independent decision making skills.
• You can demonstrate the ability to develop, revise and evaluate approaches to land stewardship and resolve conflicting concerns.

Technical knowledge and skills:
• You can demonstrate knowledge of resource management principles and concepts and municipal and conservation authority organizations.
• You have proven ability to interpret and apply provincial legislation and regulations.
• You have proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, internet and electronic mail software and are able to utilize these applications to prepare reports, and presentations.
