What can I expect to do in this role?

The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO), Investigations Unit, seeks an experienced individual to investigate alleged misconduct on the part of individuals/companies licensed or requiring licensing under legislation administered by FSCO. You will: take statements from witnesses/alleged offenders to obtain the relevant evidence; execute search warrants, lay charges, prepare Crown briefs and assist Crown counsel.

How do I qualify?

Knowledge and Skills
demonstrated experience in fraud- related investigations involving financial institutions; good judgement/analytical skills, superior communication skills; sound knowledge of the judicial process, established experience in the preparing/executing search warrants; experience testifying before a court or judicial body, interpreting/applying legislation; ability to work independently with little supervision, under pressure to meet strict deadlines; a valid driver's license is required.

Note: The minimum salary rates identified in this posting are subject to revision as a result of the recently agreed to OPSEU collective agreement covering the period of January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014.
