What can I expect to do in this role?• To support the implementation of projects related to Provincial State of Resource Reporting (SORR) program. To provide natural resource analysis and technical support to the Inventory Monitoring and Assessment Services Team and assist in the development of public reports on a range of natural resource management issues.How do I qualify?Mandatory• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada;• Proof of full-time enrolment in a recognized post-secondary college or university or graduation within the last five years; and• Candidates are only eligible to participate in a maximum of two placements.Knowledge and Skills• Knowledge of the ecology of Ontario and natural resource management policies and practices, particularly as they relate to inventory, monitoring and assessment.• Knowledge and experience with various data analysis methods and tools including a basic understanding geographic information systems principles and application in resource management.• Ability to review and analyze reports to ensure accuracy and completeness and provide summary analysis to the team.• Good organizational and communication skills to prepare both public and technical reports.• Able to use standard computer word processing, spread sheet, presentation and Internet software.Note: The successful candidate will begin at the base-level pay rate and will move up in the pay scale in accordance with the OPSEU collective agreement.
