Application submissions for Summer Employment Opportunities with the Ontario Public Service
On Sunday March 1, 2015, our system experienced technical problems dealing with the high volume of applications on the OPS Careers website for summer jobs. As a result, some applicants may have received error messages preventing them from successfully applying.

What can I expect to do in this role?• Provides research, writing, graphics development and website planning support for the ministry Fish and Wildlife Program.• Consults with various program leads to gather information on fish and wildlife initiatives.• Assists with the planning and preparation of materials for website posting.How do I qualify?Mandatory• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada;• Proof of full-time enrolment in a recognized post-secondary college or university or graduation within the last five years; and• Candidates are only eligible to participate in a maximum of two placements.Knowledge and Skills• Proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to effectively work in a team environment, as well as consult and produce communication materials for a variety of audiences.• Organizational, research and analytical skills to gather and compile information.• Knowledge of communication techniques and practices in such fields as journalism, advertising, display production and website development.• Proficient in computers and MS Office products (i.e. Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Note: The successful candidate will begin at the base-level pay rate and will move up in the pay scale in accordance with the OPSEU collective agreement.Note: Please include the job id# in the subject line of the email.
