Do you have knowledge and experience of fish culture management practices and enjoy working in teams? If so, consider this opportunity as an Operations Coordinator.

What can I expect to do in this role?

We are seeking an individual to:

• determine methods, procedures and techniques for improvement of productions and quality
• provide expertise and training to team members
• maintain records and prepare reports
• coordinate the collections of eggs, fish marking and fish distribution operations
• develop long-range plans, procedures and guidelines
• coordinate annual maintenance functions and maintain inventory
• review data collection and monitor the preparation and submissions of specimens

How do I qualify?

Mandatory requirement:
• You must possess a valid driver's licence.

Technical knowledge:
• You possess working knowledge of all aspects of fish culture management practices as well as related fish culture goals and objectives.
• You possess an understanding of fish culture techniques and recognized fish husbandry practices.
• You are knowledgeable of operation and maintenance procedures specific to fish culture stations.

Interpersonal and organizational skills:
• You are able to communicate tactfully when dealing with both public and staff.
• You demonstrate leadership skills within a team environment.
• You possess strong interpersonal, planning, evaluation and organizational skills.
• You possess proven time management skills to meet deadlines.

General skills:
• You have the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, objectives and guidelines.
• You possess the ability to work with budgets and apply administrative procedures.
• You have the ability to use various computer applications.
