This is your opportunity to provide business managment support in an evolving industry.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

• provide expert advice and leadership on the development and maintenance of the ministry's strategic business relationship with Ontario's forest sector
• lead economic development projects
• analyze and evaluate sector strategies and monitor industry trends
• liaise with stakeholders in the forest industry

How do I qualify?

Knowledge of business management practices:
• You have experience working with business management practices and principles with emphasis in areas of accounting, economics and financial analysis.

Analytical and problem-solving skills:
• You have advanced analytical and problem solving skills to research, analyze and evaluate policy and business issues.

Communication skills:
• You have oral communication skills to provide expert advice to senior management and deliver presentations.
• You have written communication skills to prepare a variety of reports, correspondence and briefing materials.
• You have negotiation and consensus building skills to build concensus with various stakeholders.

Other important skills:
• You have the ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and policies applicable to the forest industry.
• You have project management, organization and coordination skills to lead projects.
• You have advanced computers skills with word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation programs.
