If you have a background in public health, then consider joining the team at Panorama. We are responsible for implementing the Panorama project in Ontario which will provide integrated solutions helping public health professionals to efficiently manage cases and outbreaks of infectious diseases, improve delivery and tracking of immunizations, and better manage vaccine inventories.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• provide specialized professional public health subject matter expertise in the area of reportable diseases including immunization, investigation, prevention, and control of reportable diseases, outbreak management and surveillance activities
• provide advisory services and advice to colleagues and branch management
• provide subject matter expertise on the public health business functions required for the implementation of Panorama in Ontario
• participate in the development of communication, training and education materials, including relevant technical and professional information and materials targeting Panorama users in Public Health Division, Public Health Units and Public Health Ontario

How do I qualify?

Public Health Knowledge:

• you have demonstrated knowledge and experience in public health practice, methods and principles regarding reportable diseases, including immunization, investigation, prevention and control of reportable diseases, outbreak management and surveillance
• you have knowledge of the Ontario Public Health Standards and protocols, regulations and legislative authorities (e.g. Health Protection and Promotion Act) to provide specialized subject matter expertise on a range of public health protection and prevention issues in support of the successful implementation of Panorama

Communication and Relationship Management Skills:

• you have demonstrated oral and written communication skills to provide specialized advisory services, prepare and present complex technical and scientific reports, analyze and summarize, prepare correspondence and materials
• you have presentation skills to provide accurate explanations on complex public health specific issues and strategies
• you have relationship management skills to manage and support relationships with a wide range and level of contacts

Research, Analytical and Evaluative Skills:

• you have research, analytical and evaluative skills to analyze and interpret appropriate responses to inquiries and requests including interpretation and application of legislation, regulations, public health standards and protocols

Other Related Skills:

• you have customer service skills to address underlying customer needs by knowing the issues and seeking information about the underlying needs of the customer
• you have computer proficiency in common office software in the use of spreadsheets, word processing and databases to prepare reports and recommendations, analyses and related materials
