Consider this challenging opportunity where you will play a critical role in providing expertise, oversight and direction to the IT Governance Branch that is responsible for enterprise-wide I&IT governance policies and models.
We are looking for a strategic leader who will oversee and promote continuous improvement of I&IT governance and policy processes in order to align Information Technology with the government's business needs and priorities.
What can I expect to do in this role?
• Lead the Branch's specialists in conducting innovative research into enhanced enterprise governance and outcome measurement capabilities to improve the delivery of government I&IT priorities, business transformation, using I&IT resources as efficiently as possible, and improving services delivered to the public.
• Build partnerships with Branch management teams in the Division and colleagues, such as the Corporate Chief Information Officer (CCIO), throughout the Treasury Board Secretariat and across government(s).
• Provide advice to Treasury Board, the Assistant Deputy Minister, the Office of the Treasury Board Management team, as well as the CCIO, on investment decisions and corporate I&IT operating policies.
• Participate as a member of the Assistant Deputy Minister's Management Committee.
• Provide oversight and decision-making for the development and implementation of strategies, plans, projects, operations and services and anticipate and respond to contentious and emerging issues.

• You have knowledge in government decision-making processes, knowing how and when to influence policy development to enable the Division's corporate policy/program delivery in a coordinated and effective manner
• You have the ability to engage in policy consultations with senior management and colleague Directors; ability to direct and lead the development, refinement, and implementation of new/revised corporate policies; ability to recommend complex corporate policy initiatives to the Assistant Deputy Minister and senior executives.
• You have the ability to lead the Branch in conceptualizing and implementing governance consultation techniques with government program areas and Cluster I&IT management teams across the OPS
• You have proven experience in leading enterprise-wide I&IT projects, resources, and services
• You have the ability to strategize and conceptualize how to address political and client program concerns, in order to achieve corporate I&IT objectives.
