Are you an I&IT leader seeking a new opportunity to support the delivery of the Cyber Security Strategy, operational planning, organization culture of cyber risk awareness through education, risk advisory services, cyber policies and standards and cyber compliance and reporting based on research of new technologies and shift in cyber security landscape? Consider this exciting opportunity to bring your leadership and experience to the Cyber Security Division and lead the Cyber Security Strategy, Risk Management and Architecture Branch.

The Cyber Security Division (CSD) delivers a comprehensive cyber risk management program to predict, identify and address threats to information security and enable the Ontario government to meet its digital service delivery commitments securely. We support program owners with high-quality cyber risk management advice and innovative cyber security solutions to enable secure service delivery in a digital ecosystem. This includes a 7/24/365 Cyber Security Operations Centre that monitors the OPS network.

What can I expect to do in this role?

• Ensure the risk assessment practice continues to evolve in a digital world to ensure holistic advice to deliver secure digital solutions.
• Lead the development, maintenance and implementation of branch I&IT policies and best practices.
• Develop on-going technology risk reporting, monitoring key trends and defining metrics to regularly measure control effectiveness.
• Ensure organizational alignment with best practices and compliance with enterprise and legal requirements and to validate or adjust information management, security and architecture policies, security and architecture strategies, policies and standards.
• Direct and ensure the integrity of the branch's financial, information, and human resources asset management for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external partners, clients and stakeholders to provide strategic business advice.
• Support the secure development and delivery of digital services to ensure the availability of the cluster's service and to guarantee the integrity of the data and services they offer.

How do I qualify?

Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• You have demonstrated success in strategic and operational leadership to foster an environment of continuous improvement
• You are a leader who values new ideas and encourages informed risks in support of innovation that improves user experience
• You have created effective communication strategies to ensure compliance with all internal/external partners and within established I&IT policies and protocols
• You are known for developing and sustaining strong client, stakeholder and partner relationships

Technical and I&IT Knowledge

• You have I&IT subject matter knowledge surrounding technologies, tools, trends and best practices to direct the development and implementation of I&IT operational policies and standards in support of the enterprise needs
• You have experience in the design of I&IT strategy and/or high level I&IT architecture to support the cluster's I&IT strategic direction
• You have experience providing I&IT advice and information that supports risk management and sound decision making to senior executives
• You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in governance models and oversight, and performance management

Issues Management and Communication

• You have experience identifying potential problems and/or contentious areas and developing rationales and options to ensure cluster commitment to branch strategies, priorities and plans
• You have superior communication skills to provide expertise and support to senior executives in problem solving and issues management for the I&IT cluster
