The Enterprise Business Service Division is recruiting for an Operations Director for its Document Solutions and Logistics Branch (DSLB). The Enterprise Business Services Division is at an exciting phase with numerous digital projects underway. If you are qualified, please consider applying to join our team.

As part of the division's executive leadership team, your role will be pivotal in helping to achieve the Ministry's commitment to service excellence. DSLB provides business services to both citizens of Ontario and the internal Ontario Public Service. Some sections of DSLB operate on a 24/7 basis and within very tight negotiated service timelines.

Effectively leading this diverse portfolio requires very strong leadership, flexibility, political acuity and astute judgement to meet key performance indicators. A strong professional relationship with vendors in the warehousing, print and publishing sectors and other stakeholders must be developed and nurtured to help manage our supply chain for products and changing client requirements. This position requires a leader who can foster the development of expert teams and a collaborative environment for teams working together but from different locations.

What can I expect to do in this role?

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Enterprise Business Services Division, the Director, Document Solutions and Logistics Branch is responsible to:

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction in the development and implementation of long-term strategies for the branch in alignment with the OPS, MPBSD and OSS.
• Lead branch delivery and sourcing operations for numerous business lines that provide digital and paper products, conversions, solutions, and services across 5 locations to OPS ministries and agencies.
• Promote client-focused services and customized solutions to meet client requirements and exceed client expectations.
• Implement performance metrics and indicators to continually measure success and identify the need for current and future service improvements.
• Support key initiatives such as enabling technology, implementing modern technologies, and integrated services.
• Lead the planning and implementation of multi-year delivery and sourcing strategies to optimize client services and value to drive excellence and improvements.
• Manage business analysis solutions to address client needs, cost efficiencies, system integrations and the implementation of upgraded technologies.
• Advance a culture among colleagues and staff that prioritizes collaboration, engagement, inclusion, equity, excellence, and well-being.
