Come and join the Program Development and Integrity Unit (PDI) and provide your expertise in program and policy development and evaluation while collaborating and networking with key stakeholders, in the process.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• participate in the planning, research, evaluation and development of program delivery infrastructure, policy initiatives, and marketing strategies
• coordinate policy development and related research projects
• ensure that PDI initiatives, processes and recommendations consider the interests of all relevant stakeholders and other relevant factors
• represent the unit on multi-jurisdictional committees, working groups and at public information forums
• prepare reports, draft project plans, status reports, position papers, briefing notes and Cabinet Submissions
• liaise with business community representatives to promote the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and encourage participation

How do I qualify?

Policy and Program Development

• You demonstrate experience providing advice in the areas of program design, testing, delivery and evaluation processes and public service policy development processes
• You can contribute to the development of policies and strategies and represent the unit in key program activities
• You can support the manager in the development of options, strategies and proposals related to successful settlement and business establishment of provincial nominees

Technical Knowledge

You have:
• the ability to interpret and apply provincial and federal programs, policies and governing legislation related to the PDI and its mandate, roles and responsibilities
• knowledge of the current labour market and political, socio-cultural and economic issues impacting geographic areas in the province to develop PDI target plans and strategies

Project Management

• You can lead, direct and provide technical guidance to program consultants and members of project teams and working groups
• You are familiar with project life cycle methodologies, standards and policies to lead and coordinate projects
• You can establish priorities and plans and ensure that project progress is monitored, reported and deliverables are met

Research and Analytical Skills

You can:
• participate in the planning, research, evaluation and development of program delivery infrastructure, policy initiatives and policy/program options
• assess complex submissions and develop responses and solutions
• identify, analyze and monitor contentious, emerging and politically sensitive issues that impact the mandate of the program and advise management in their resolution

Communication and Stakeholder Relations

You can:
• build and sustain effective working relationships and liaise with various stakeholders
• consult with provincial/national/international contacts and collaborate throughout
various project phases to obtain, provide and exchange data/information
• provide briefings on PDI initiatives and deliver presentations to promote the program and encourage participation and further development of PNP projects and initiatives
