“It is a constant learning environment. There is always opportunities to grow and we’ve learned so much in the last twenty (20) years in management, but we are always learning. You could be in more of a monitoring role, administrative role, you could be doing research. There is a whole wide variety of opportunities.”

Mahmood:

“The work that we do is tremendously important work. It impacts the lives of thousands of people and when you consider the kind of responsibility that’s placed on you that drives you to excel. The OPS has a very talented and dedicated team of professionals. They are committed to making a difference, they are committed to excellence, they are committed to the highest standard of values, integrity, transparency, equality and fairness. The OPS is a fantastic organization.”

“I was really fortunate to get a taste of the Public Service through this internship program so I think it’s a really good program for people to start to explore options. Whether or not you are ecstatic in your first placement or really fortunate like me to have found a placement that is a really good match for your experience and your skills that you already have. I think it’s really cool to have the opportunity to learn about what is really out there and then many different diverse roles and jobs that are going to be available to you.”
