If so, consider joining Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS), in the role of Audit Data Analyst, where you will provide senior level technical expertise, leadership, research, analysis, and advice to management and key stakeholders, in software asset management, software license optimization, Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and financial assets, IT contracts and agreements.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Lead the creation, implementation, usage and ongoing maintenance of a federated Software Asset Management and Software License Optimization database.
• Lead the research and recommendation of new software products and tools and the subsequent acquisition, deployment and on-going management and administration of the software and tools.
• Oversee tracking, administration and management of software assets and related licenses.
• Lead projects to acquire new software, services and related tools or processes.
• Provide leadership, guidance and advice to all stakeholders engaged in day-to-day or project activities.

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of IT service management processes and best practices for Incident/Problem Management, IT Asset and Configuration Management, and Change and Release Management.
• You have knowledge of IT software vendor landscape, emerging software asset management and IT software license management trends to anticipate, research, analyze and assess new software, tools and license and lifecycle management developments, benefits, risks and impacts.
• You have knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Virtualization Hypervisors such as VMware, Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Linux); systems operations and systems design and development tools; network software, security and other software necessary to operate a diverse, 24/7/365 I&IT organization.

Research and Analytical Skills:

• You can prepare business cases and cost/benefit analyses, audit plans and reports, submissions, compliance reports, briefing notes and risk analyses.
• You can ensure ongoing technical, operational and software needs are identified; technical work, operations and/or services are scheduled, monitored and evaluated; viable solutions are provided for problems related to Software Asset Management and Software License Optimization, compliance requirements or audit findings.
• You can identify and resolve a range of acquisition, audit, process, project or license problems with different levels of difficulty.

Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of data analysis, database, modelling, data discovery and management, application programming, performance management, architecture and license management software.
• You have knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes (e.g. incident, problem, configuration, change and release management) and ability to acquire and apply knowledge of enterprise tools, terms and definitions in order to provide support to the delivery of ITS services.

Communication Skills:

• You can provide authoritative procurement and software license management advisory services to business areas, and present briefings and recommendations to Senior Management.
• You can conduct contract/license negotiations on behalf of ITS for software license management and tools.
• You can present technical information on software use and compliance and technical recommendations to non-technical business colleagues.
• You can develop and encourage teamwork, improve morale and high performance and resolve conflict within cross-functional teams.

Project Management Knowledge and Skills:

• You have knowledge of IT Project management including developing terms of reference, defining scope, determining financial resources, establishing roles and responsibilities, assigning work, quality assurance, and progress monitoring and reporting in order to deliver outcomes that meet time, cost, quality and value propositions.
• You have knowledge of service delivery and management processes, cost/benefit analyses, risk management planning and audit techniques to provide advice, resolve issues, prepare business cases, assure quality of project outcomes, identify opportunities to improve processes and mitigate risk.
