What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

• respond to routine inquiries and handle incoming/outgoing mail
• maintain filing systems and appointment calendars
• organize travel and accommodation logistics
• perform clerical tasks in order to provide effective administrative support to the section

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• Proficiency in English as well as in oral French at the advanced level

Essential Skills:

• You have communication skills to respond to general inquiries with tact and diplomacy as well as to accurately type, compose and proofread correspondence, reports and presentation material
• You have organizational and reasoning skills to determine priorities among tasks with conflicting deadlines and coordinate own work to ensure deadlines are met
• You have analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, purchasing card statements and expense claims as well as to assess confidentiality of information when responding to inquiries
• You have arithmetic and financial skills to calculate employee attendance and reconcile expenditures relating to expense claims, purchase card statements, purchase orders, invoices and property purchase agreements

Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of office administration practices, including mail handling and filing systems as well as maintenance of appointment calendars and office supplies
• You are proficient with computers and word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and email software
