What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:

• Work in a team environment to process intake of vital event documents and customer service requests (internal and external)
• Deal calmly and effectively with clients over the phone and in person to provide accurate information
• Review and process documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with legislation
• Data entry of information into a database
• Process all requests in a timely manner to meet time frames
• Assist clients in resolving issues in order to register vital events
• Build and maintain relationships with various partners

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge and Interpretation Skills
• You are able to interpret and apply relevant legislation, programs and policies required to process registration and services
• You have proven ability to maintain confidentiality and security of personal and confidential information

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
• You can interpret and evaluate information for accuracy and completeness and ensure compliance to legislation and policies
• You are able to investigate and compile information to make decisions

Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with the public, businesses and clients
• You can work effectively as a member of a team in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Computer Skills
• You can operate technical equipment to process documents, customer service requests and generate correspondence
• You are proficient with computer programs including word processing and imaging software

  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a satisfactory criminal reference check prior to the commencement of employment.
  • The minimum salary rates identified in this posting are subject to revision as a result of the recently agreed to OPSEU collective agreement covering the period of January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014.
