Ministry of the Attorney General, Court Services Division, Superior Court of Justice, requires a supervisor to assist the Manager of Court Operations in the administration of the Interpreter's office.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• coordinate, direct, schedule, plan and supervise the activities of Court Interpreters
• provide direction and leadership to staff and assign work
• provide technical and procedure advice to staff, public and other stakeholders
• assist in preparing critical issue papers and assist in briefing notes
• participate in corporate, regional and local projects as required

How do I qualify?

Leadership Skills and Experience

You have:
• demonstrated leadership and experience to supervise and support staff in a high pressure environment
• good understanding of and experience in human resource activities, practices and procedures including recruitment, performance management, grievance administration, illness and injury management

Analytical, Organizational and Judgement Skills

You have:
• analytical and organizational skills to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of new legislation, policies and procedures
• independent judgement skills to investigate and resolve complex problems

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders, local management team, staff and the public
• You can facilitate close working relationships between court administration staff
• You can discuss technical issues and provide advice and information to internal and external stakeholders

Technical Knowledge

You have ability to interpret and apply:
• legislation, regulations and rules related to court services
• administrative and financial policies, procedures and processes, human resources policies and Collective Agreements
