The Central Agencies I&IT Cluster is looking for an experienced individual to join their team, and provide systems development, programming and consulting expertise to clients, related to the use of information technology, to meet business and program goals.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:
• Coordinate the development of business systems and applications.
• Provide technical expertise in complex systems analysis and design processes.
• Assess information technology and data/systems requirements of clients.
• Provide advice/expertise in acquisition of software, hardware, and technology.

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge:

• You have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the theory/principles of systems analysis, design and development, along with data base management systems.
• You have experience and expertise as a programmer (e.g. .NET, SharePoint, and/or Java) using a variety of languages and database technologies (e.g. SQL, Oracle) in a Windows environment.
• You have experience identifying, documenting and evaluating technical options and developing system & application program specifications.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• You can make recommendations on the acquisition of applications, software, hardware and information technology services.
• You can assess information and systems needs of clients, and assist in the development of improved, cost effective solutions.
• You can design alternatives based on business/client needs and provide recommendations on appropriate hardware and software configuration.

Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of emerging technologies to identify and evaluate information technology options, modify and develop new systems.
• You have knowledge of systems development methodologies/techniques, architecture/technology trends, and office/development products.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• You have the ability to lead discussions of systems development options and technical processes to project team.
• You can effectively discuss systems development recommendations with clients and communicate advantages and disadvantages of various options and their impact on service delivery
• You can prepare business cases, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), contracts and reports.
