What can I expect to do in this role?

Your role will include:

• Developing creative and engaging web copy and other communications materials to support ministry communication plans and initiatives
• Providing specialist advice and expertise to branch and division management and staff on plain language and clear writing

How do I qualify?

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• You have writing and editing skills and the ability to distil complex issues into plain language
• You can write engaging, clear, concise and accurate web copy and other communications materials
• You demonstrate written communication skills to review, edit, and ensure website content is accurate, concise and grammatically correct
• You ensure accuracy and attention to detail

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONSULTING SKILLS:

• You have communication and presentation skills to provide advice and develop business relationships
• You have customer service and consultative skills to interact effectively with staff and stakeholders
• You have leadership and facilitation skills to work cooperatively with colleagues and other partners in coordinating project efforts
• You demonstrate discretion and sound judgment when dealing with sensitive or confidential materials
• You can work collaboratively with diverse groups

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:

• You have demonstrable knowledge of integrated marketing communications, digital communications and public relations
• You have knowledge and expertise in communications tools and techniques
• You have knowledge of web reporting technologies (e.g. Google Analytics)
