If this sounds like you, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to work with the Dorset Environmental Science Center of the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change in providing executive and administrative services.
What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:
• provide administrative assistance and coordination services in such areas as finance, human resources, administrative and support services for management and district/unit staff and provincial/federal/university/municipal partners.
How do I qualify?
Office Administration Skills:
• You have planning and organizational skills to independently establish priorities and manage multiple tasks/activities within tight timelines.
• You have experience providing a variety of administrative services to an executive office.
• You have experience performing financial administration services (e.g. budgeting, purchasing, asset management, etc.).
• You have experience monitoring and tracking correspondence.
• You have human resources experience to prepare documents for site and partnerships, including preparing forms and documentation,
maintaining personnel files, preparing recruitment files and documents and notifying managers of various procedural requirements (e.g. merit dates).
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
You have excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills to compose letters, reports.
• You are able to use diplomacy and tact in dealing with various stakeholders and sensitive issues.
Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:
• You have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies, determine the best way to handle a task, situation, or information request.
Computer Skills:
• You are proficient with computers including word processing spreadsheet power point, databases, electronic mail and internet software applications.
