Are you looking for an opportunity to use your excellent analytical and communication skills? Then consider this opportunity to support the Ministry of Transportation Carrier Safety program and help promote the safe operation of commercial vehicles in Ontario!

The Carrier Sanctions and Investigation Office issues and renews Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) certificates, investigates contraventions and monitors the operational safety performance of truck and bus operators.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a CVOR Analyst you will:
• monitor the performance of commercial vehicle operators
• promote the safe, dependable transportation of people and goods on Ontario highways
• analyze information pertaining to commercial vehicle operators
• recommend corrective actions to commercial vehicle operators
• explain the carrier monitoring legislation/system to stakeholders

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• you have advanced oral and written French language skills

Research & Analytical Skills

• you have highly developed research, analytical, evaluation and decision making skills supported by sound judgment
• you can interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and procedures (i.e. Public Vehicle Act, Highway Traffic Act)
• you can analyze, interpret and compile information pertaining to the performance of commercial vehicle operators (e.g. Facility Audit, Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration (CVOR), and safety rating programs)
• you can collect and confirm information with emphasis on data integrity

Communication Skills

• you have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with, and provide information to, a wide variety of clients
• you have superior written communication skills to prepare various documents, correspondence and reports in a clear and concise manner

Computer Skills

• you have applied knowledge of computers, peripherals and database applications
