What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:
• Provide reception services.
• Prepare reports, minutes and presentations.
• Ensure the accurate processing of employee payroll and attendance information.
• Assist in budgeting and financial activities.
• Maintain and order office supplies.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail.
How do I qualify?
MANDATORY:
• You have advanced oral and written French language skills in accordance with Ontario Government Standards.
• You must type 50 words per minute.
ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• You must type 50 words per minute.
• You have demonstrated administrative support experience.
• You have knowledge of OPS administrative policies, procedures and practices.
• You have knowledge of payroll and attendance practices and can complete accurate documentation.
• You can interpret pay policies, collective agreements and guidelines.
• You are proficient with computers and standard software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, e-mail, internet/intranet).
• You can use financial and attendance management systems.
COMMUNICATION, ANALYTICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, managers and suppliers.
• You have proven organizational skills.
• You can set priorities and work independently.
• You have analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills to maintain and reconcile financial data.
• you can deal with confidential information and determine appropriate release of information.
