Are you are a seasoned executive with experience in strategic planning, human resource management, financial controllership, risk management and project management?

Do you have a track record of establishing and championing diversity and inclusivity and modeling positive relationship management with partners and stakeholders?

If so, consider joining the Ministry of the Attorney General Civil Law Division.

What can I expect to do in this role?

The Director, Strategic Business Management will be responsible for:

• Establishing, directing and managing the staff and corporate operations that enable the Division and Ministry to achieve the delivery of legal services to government.

• Anticipating client needs, setting strategic priorities and delivering tactical plans and results.

• Developing and sustaining critical relationships and linkages within the Division, Ministry, clients and central agencies.

• Providing strategic leadership, direction and project management in the development and implementation of efficient business processes, effective human, financial and capital resource management to effectively deliver on divisional goals.

How do I qualify?

Executive Leadership

• Lead and direct business operations (e.g. divisional strategic and business plans, policy and program delivery, human resources and financial planning) to ensure effective client-focused delivery of legal services to the government.
• You are an inclusive and visionary leader who has built a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility and has successfully fostered a respectful work environment.
• You have proven senior level management experience to provide direction for the planning, coordination and delivery of sound management policies, standards and services.
• You are a strategic and analytical leader, politically astute, an effective problem-solver and adept at building consensus and managing relationships.
• You have a demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement, timely delivery and a collaborative leadership style.
• You possess solid business transformation, change and project management acumen as well as a proven ability to implement significant change initiatives

Technical Knowledge

• You have demonstrated the ability to develop and implement strategic and operational plans that support effective business transformation.
• You have successfully led change management initiatives within an organization that was undergoing transformation.
• You are experienced at overseeing results-based planning processes.

Relationship Management and Communications

• You have exceptional communications skills to support risk management and performance measurement activities and the ability to interact with a variety of senior management levels and inspire confidence
• You have demonstrated the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
• You have advised, briefed, and recommended direction on difficult issues to senior executives.
• You have a high degree of political acuity and judgement.
