Experience the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment by bringing your knowledge of social assistance policies to the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Children, Youth and Social Services I & IT Cluster.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:

• write, validate and execute test scripts for application testing and document all test results
• evaluate and revise standard testing scripts to ensure comprehensive testing of all system functionality
• assist with other activities associated with quality assurance testing policies, procedures, and practices
• advise and actively participate in maintenance of all documentation related to application testing

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge

• you have strong knowledge of social assistance policies and programs, as well as administrative policies and procedures
• you understand and/or have experience with application testing methodologies, processes and tools
• you have the ability to execute tests using automated tools
• you have experience in preparing test cases, testing strategies, and coordinating specialized tests

Analytical, Problem Solving and Project Management Skills

• you have strong problem solving and decision-making skills to assess and design testing requirements/scenarios, validate testing scripts and analyze results
• you have the ability to work on project teams to provide input into test planning as well as collaborate with other team members

Organizational and Communication Skills

• you have excellent time management, organizational and planning skills
• you have a strong ability to adapt quickly to change and work under pressure
• you have strong interpersonal skills to work independently or as part of a team
• you have excellent oral and written communication skills in order to write comprehensive scripts and document test results
