The Treasury Board Secretariat is seeking a Technology Process Planner. Your unique skills are in demand in the Enterprise Planning and Project Delivery Services Branch.

We are looking for a motivated professional to provide process execution leadership and co-ordination for Infrastructure Technology Services' (ITS) enterprise strategic planning process, comprising of the Annual, In-Year, Operational and Service planning processes.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Technology Process Planner, you will:
• Identify, initiate, and sponsor process re-engineering, continuous improvement, and manage changes to the Strategic Planning Process (SPP).
• Ensure the Service Planning Process/procedures are activated and maintained.
• Communicate roles and responsibilities associated with the Annual Planning Processes.
• Activate, educate and promote the Annual Planning Processes to other stakeholders and train them in adoption of a similar process to manage the areas outside ITS.
• Coach and provide technical direction.

How do I qualify?

Project Management Knowledge and Skills:

• You have project management skills, techniques, and methodology to ensure the Annual Planning Process deliverables are managed to commitments made to Sponsors.
• You have project budgeting and scheduling skills, to estimate and control expenditures for the financial analysis portions of the Annual Planning collateral.

Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of IT Service Management, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes for service delivery and support.
• You have proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations).

Leadership Skills:

• You can develop and foster strong teams within area of responsibility.
• You can plan, organize, and coordinate financial and material resources in order to achieve a variety of technology planning objectives.
• You can define, document and communicate roles and responsibilities associated with the Annual Planning Processes.
• You can guide/train staff on a day-to-day basis and provide technical direction.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• You can estimate costs of new acquisitions, recommended technological, policy and process changes, project resources required and manage allocations.
• You can participate in developing highly specialized specifications and standards for formal procurement.

Communication Skills:

• You can interact and communicate with various stakeholders and maintain positive working relationships.
• You have relational skills to work with staff, senior management and other stakeholders in the planning process to ensure maximum benefit of the planning process is achieved.
