Are you print production savvy with strong technical skills? EQAO is looking for a Production Artist to create print-ready layouts, pre-press and online publication files to support EQAO's student assessment activities and corporate publications.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

• create educational assessment materials and tools, for both print and online, and corporate publications and documents (e.g. news releases, reports, promotional material)
• create effective visual designs for various materials that meet client communication objectives
• participate as a member of the production team on large-scale print product projects, providing input to product creative design

How do I qualify?

Graphic design skills:

• You know current desktop publishing applications, including Quark Xpress, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• You have technical knowledge of computer graphic design, colour separation (CMYK and RGB), optimization of scanned images, creation of accessible formats, production layout and printing processes.
• You are familiar with print product design and print production project stages.

Other essential skills:

• You can develop creative desktop designs.
• You can apply reasoning and analytical skills to determine appropriate product design, structure and content.
• You can communicate clearly to consult with clients on the effectiveness of design concepts and the printing or online specifications.
