The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Operations Division, is seeking an experienced individual to review/assess registration applications, lottery licence applications and licensing compliance matters and to assist in monitoring registrants /licensees' compliance with relevant Legislation, Regulations and policies and procedures.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Gaming Registration Officer, you will:
• Use your excellent analytical skills to review and process applications and renewals, including the review of income tax returns and financial statements for compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare registration files for investigations; exercise judgement and integrity in approving and/or recommending refusals of registrations and licences
• Utilize your strong writing skills to prepare statistical reports on registrations and other documentation using MS Office Word software
• Review applicants/registrants/licensees for compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, terms and conditions of registration/licences and policy directives
• Respond to inquiries on registration and licensing requirements/procedures

How do I qualify?

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to set priorities meet and manage multiple and conflicting deadlines, and work under pressure while maintaining a high volume of work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• An understanding of the gaming industry and knowledge of the relevant sections of the Gaming Control Act, the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation and Public Protection Act and their corresponding Regulations.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office Suites tools (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
