What can I expect to do in this role?

The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario is an independent officer of the Legislature responsible for upholding and promoting open government and protecting personal privacy in Ontario. For more information, see www.ipc.on.ca.

The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) seeks a highly-motivated, client-oriented individual to join the Corporate Services Department which is responsible, in part, for the analysis, design, development and support of the information systems used for the organization, storage and presentation of the IPC's information assets.

You will be responsible for applying information management and technology principles and practices to ensure that systems are up-to-date, supported, customized and meet internal and external standards. They will liaise between IPC clients, technology partners and vendors, as well as support content and information management systems using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Knowledge of these systems is a must.

Using SQL Server Reporting Services, you will responsible for designing, creating and updating custom reports for Microsoft Dynamics 365. You should posses a strong working knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), FetchXML and Visual Studio.NET. Having experience working in building templates in Word would be an asset.

Your ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical clients and colleagues at all levels, strong consulting skills and superior problem solving, judgement and analytical skills will contribute to your success in this position. You are comfortable working in an environment that regularly functions with aggressive timelines and are able to manage several key priorities simultaneously.
