At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) we provide highly specialized trauma-informed mental health and developmental services. These services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence based practices to adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child. CPRI is looking for Clinical Information Clerks to provide high quality clerical support and to bring their clerical, organization and accurate skills to the organization.

What can I expect to do in this role?

• provide accurate and high quality production of a variety of medical/clinical records;
• scan and upload clinical medical reports into the electronic system;
• provide clerical and reception support;
• monitor, review and analyze client casebooks ensuring accurate case records;
• collect data and prepare reports as required.

The Irregular On-Call position is an as required position from 0 to 36.25 hrs per week, with no guaranteed minimum number of scheduled hours.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• Typing skills to government standards of 50 words per minute.

Technical and Administrative Knowledge

• You have the ability to acquire knowledge of policies and procedures related to Clinical Information Systems and Quality Improvement Office.
• You have knowledge of legislation such as Child and Family Services Act, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Health Information Protection Act, retention schedules, and medical clinical terminology and programs.
• You have knowledge of case book assembly procedures.
• You have knowledge of alpha and numeric filing systems.
• You have experience using a switchboard console to provide switchboard/reception relief.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You have oral and written communication skills to interact with staff.
• You can explain existing, revised or new procedures in an understandable and positive manner.
• You have interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders requesting information.

Organizational and Problem Solving Skills

• You have organizational skills to co-ordinate and manage information of data.
• You can plan and prioritize own workload within established timeframes and ensure work is completed during fluctuation peak in workload.
• You have problem solving skills to investigate non-routine work problems and determine solutions.

Computer Skills

• You have extensive knowledge of MS Office such as excel and word including formatting and setting up of standardized clinical report templates; form letters and forms.
• You have the ability to input and update internal database systems such as the Facility Client Information System.
