If so, consider this new and exciting opportunity with the Civil Law Division, where you will lead a variety of strategic initiatives, provide ongoing innovation, forward-looking sector insights and thought leadership to senior management.

We are seeking independent thinkers to join a dynamic team to help synthesize ‘big picture' strategy and advance the division's transformational objectives, while ensuring successful delivery and integration across the enterprise.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Provide a full range of business services to lead the Civil Law Division in meeting its strategic and operational goals and the effective delivery of legal services for Ontario;
• Understand evolving needs, historic and longer-term trends, conduct cost-benefit analyses, prepare business cases for the assessment and delivery of strategic initiatives;
• Design strategies, strategic and process improvement frameworks, business models, plans and roadmaps to help the Civil Law Division advance its transformational and business objectives;
• Provide leadership, technical expertise and authoritative advice to the division's senior management team in the areas of strategic planning, finance and business planning, program performance measurement and evaluation;
• Build and manage effective relationships across the division and with key stakeholders to seek input to strategy development and foster alignment to approved direction and the Strategic Plan.

How do I qualify?

Business and Strategic Planning Knowledge

• You have experience developing strategic, business and operational plans.
• You have skills and experience to capture emerging trends and developments in transformation and business service delivery including principles, pressures, operating models and alternate delivery options, service integration and government transformation.
• You can independently lead and manage concurrent projects/assignments and have organizational skills to prioritize work within tight, competing timeframes.

Communication and Collaboration Skills

• You have superior strategic communication experience and robust written and verbal communication skills
• You have an ability to present complex issues to senior management and experience developing effective briefing materials, reports and presentations
• You have collaboration and negotiation skills to obtain comprehensive understanding of business challenges and opportunities, current and emerging trends and stakeholder interests.

Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving skills:

• You have proven research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to deconstruct complex issues and develop strategic assessments
• You have knowledge of analytical concepts and techniques to conduct data analysis and derive strategic insights
• You can identify trends, options, potential risks and develop mitigating strategies to ensure alignment and effectiveness within the division.
