Consider this position in the Transportation User Services Branch where you will lead the review and monitoring of the ministry's concession agreements compliance with legal requirements and lead related projects.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Review and monitor the agreements between the Province and various concessions and provide briefings to
senior staff
• Manage operational aspects and Division issues related to concessions, including implementation of the
Amending Agreements and relationship with service providers as the one window approach.
• Research and monitor trends, initiatives, and issues related to the concessions
• Establish partnerships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

How do I qualify?

Leadership and Project Management

• You have project management skills and techniques to plan, organize and conduct major multi-disciplinary transportation planning projects
• You have leadership skills to lead cross-ministry, multi-stakeholder project teams within timelines and budget
• You have knowledge of financing frameworks, mechanisms and ability to assess the economic impacts of financial procurement strategies
• You have strategic planning skills to provide advice and expertise

Policy and Program Development

• You have policy and program development experience and knowledge of decision-making processes to lead policy frameworks and proposals
• You have program analysis skills and knowledge of assessment methods and techniques to assess mpacts, risks, changes and trends

Transportation Infrastructure

• You have knowledge of theory, principles and practices related to the management of private service providers, contract and transportation infrastructure
• You have investigation and audit experience to manage performance and contract obligations
• You understand congestion relief and expansion requirements and can develop innovative recommendations
• You have knowledge of Concession and Ground Lease Agreement provisions to identify potential and actual issues

Analytical and Problem-Solving

You can:
• Identify and prioritize relevant issues, implications, options and opportunities
• Conduct comprehensive analyses and evaluation of data to make recommendations
• Coordinate and investigate dispute resolution processes and build consensus

Interpersonal and Communication

You have:
• Influencing and negotiation skills to resolve a broad range of issues and reach consensus
• Consultation and persuasion skills to convey strategic policy and program proposals and gain support
• Network and partnership building skills to develop effective linkages with other ministries, inter-jurisdictional stakeholders both nationally and internationally
• Presentation and written communication skills to prepare and present a wide range of complex material including briefing materials, policy papers, training material, letters and Cabinet submissions
