What can I expect to do in this role?
In the Negotiations and Reconciliation Division: Lead and support projects, engage with ministries, Indigenous communities, and external partners on diverse issues related to the negotiation and settlement of land claims. As part of your work, you will: assist and support development of Ontario approaches to issues raised as part of active negotiations; conduct research and analysis, and assist in the development of options and proposals; assist with communication and issues management plans; support the work of inter-ministry and inter-governmental working/ project groups.
In the Strategic Planning and Economic Policy Branch: By leading and supporting projects, partnering with ministries, and engaging Indigenous communities and external partners on diverse issues ranging from economic and natural resource development to regulating commodities and environmental protection, you will: assist and support various projects and studies; conduct research and analysis for program initiatives and assist in the preparation of options and proposals; assist with the preparation of communication and implementation plans; participate on various committees and working/project groups.
In the Performance Measures and Data Unit, you will: assist in conducting research (quantitative and qualitative) and preparing data analysis on socio-economic issues that impact Indigenous people and communities in Ontario; assist with the preparation of concise reports and briefing materials which visually present socio-economic data.

• You must have graduated from a college or university, with a degree, diploma or post-graduate certificate, within the past 5 years.
• You must be an Indigenous person (i.e. First Nations, Métis, Inuit).
