The Ministry of Transportation is looking for a result-oriented leader to ensure the effective administration of all Commercial Inspection and Enforcement programs within the North and West Region of the province. This exciting role oversees the enforcement of regulations designed to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods and people and the preservation of the highway system infrastructure.

Our branch.
The Commercial Inspection and Enforcement Branch directs and manages the delivery of driver, vehicle and carrier services across the province, including: motor carrier enforcement, commercial vehicle licensing through the International Registration Plan, enhancing driver behaviour through driver improvement counseling, and promotion of road safety through education and outreach.

Please note: Due to COVID-19, remote work arrangements are currently in effect. The employer is willing to consider remote work arrangements beyond COVID-19, however, attendance at the office will be required as needed.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Ensure the effective administration of all Commercial Inspection and Enforcement programs within the region in partnership with the Director.
• Oversee the enforcement of regulations designed to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods and people and the preservation of the highway system infrastructure.
• Participate in and lead projects for the development of divisional and regional plans, policies and procedures.
• Manage renewal initiatives of regional services to enhance and improve business service delivery to clients and stakeholders.
