What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will;
• Develop and implement project plans in consultation with OCWA/external clients for information architecture projects and/or components of IT projects with information architecture elements, including the development of business cases, and the development and coordination of project submissions through the approvals process
• Conduct research to assess the OCWA/client business direction, priorities, service demands, business impact and IT environment to assess and determine information architecture requirements to meet the client business needs
• Provide project oversight for all phases of information architecture projects; defines project scope, methodology and deliverables, establish priorities and schedules, recommend project budgets and staff requirements, develop performance benchmarks and milestones and monitor progress
• Develop information architecture requirements/specifications for RFPs and participate in assessing bids and negotiating SLAs with vendors
• Develop and implement system transition and communication plans for clients to support the implementation of new/enhanced information architecture system/process
• Plan and manage projects for the design, development and implementation of information architecture analysis models and related procedures and processes, and makes operational decisions related to assigned projects/ activities to achieve objectives within required timelines
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, advice and subject matter expertise to assigned project team members and consultants including determining work priorities and assignments; assigning ongoing projects/initiatives; providing ongoing guidance and technical direction; assessing and approving tasks as part of the change management cycle

Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of IT operational methods and technologies including hardware platforms, software, networks, databases, applications, common business systems, technology infrastructure and operational services
• Knowledge of current methodologies pertaining to systems analysis, design, development, testing and implementation to evaluate information architectural requirements
• Knowledge of system development life cycle; software integration, management, evaluation and control mechanisms; database concepts; networking; hardware environments; change management; business analysis, including business design and IT business management; capacity planning; quality assurance; risk/problem management; disaster/recovery planning; business process modelling and process re-engineering; and standards, trends, methods, tools and techniques
• Excellent knowledge of application infrastructure; database management; system development life cycle; software integration, management, evaluation and control mechanisms; networking; hardware environments; change management; business analysis, including business design and IT business management; capacity planning; quality assurance; risk/problem management; disaster/recovery planning; business process modelling and process re-engineering; and standards, trends, methods, tools and techniques

Interpersonal, Communication and Analytical Skills:
• Change management skills including release, version and patch management
• Project management skills, including planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, measuring, monitoring and controlling, to manage multiple, concurrent, complex large-scale infrastructure technology projects.
• Research, analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills to conduct infrastructure technology analysis and provide infrastructure technology expertise and solutions
• Oral and written communications and customer service skills to consult with OCWA management/staff and clients to determine architectural needs, promote innovative architectural solutions, provide ongoing technical expertise and advice
