Do you have experience leading a team in the development and maintenance of complex business solutions? Consider this opportunity in the Treasury Board Secretariat, Central Agencies I&IT Cluster, and lead the delivery and support of innovative technology solutions.

Note: This position is located at 33 King Street West, Oshawa; however, alternate work arrangements, including flexible hours, telework (remote work), and a compressed work week may be available.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Provide overall project coordination and control of activities in the development, implementation, maintenance, and delivery of business solutions.
• Lead the team to develop and maintain complex applications.
• Provide technical leadership in delivering integrated technology solutions.
• Lead the research and acquisition of technology, systems, and products.
• Identify short- and long-term solutions and define service delivery requirements in consultation with management and clients.
• Work with service providers and external stakeholders on the purchase of new software/hardware and negotiate the acquisition of services.
• Provide oversight and direction to support time-sensitive services within established service level commitments.

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge:

• You have a strong background in application delivery.
• You have advanced knowledge and experience implementing and supporting vendor solutions.
• You have experience with SDLC methodologies.
• You have experience working with integrated solutions that support payment processing, data capture, and image capture functions.

Analytical Experience and Project Management:

• You can conduct complex system analysis, design, and implementation.
• You have experience resolving critical sustainment issues.
• You have experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in developing IT solutions for clients.
• You are able to work within tight timelines and can motivate staff to meet expectations.
• You are familiar with research and project management methods.

Interpersonal, Team-Building and Communication Skills:

• You are an inclusive leader, experienced in engaging and motivating team members.
• You are able to assess client requirements and work towards meeting their objectives and service delivery needs.
• You are effective in resolving conflicts and presenting options and recommendations in clear, non-technical terms.
• You can prepare project reports, analyses, systems documentation, training manuals, and senior-level briefing materials.
• You are able to lead the team through technical discussions and assign work based on knowledge and experience of the team members.
