What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will:
• lead and conduct comprehensive analysis of HR and Payroll business needs and priorities related to enterprise-level business processes and requirements
• advise on functional processes and system strategies related to the enterprise HCM system (PeopleSoft)
• lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with multiple stakeholders
• develop strategies and approaches for solution and configuration options based on outcomes from JAD sessions
• plan and coordinate the technical management of small, medium large and complex application changes
• oversee development, maintenance, and testing and evaluation of systems
How do I qualify?
HCM System Knowledge:
You have:
• knowledge of HCM platform/application functional modules within the enterprise HCM system (e.g. PeopleSoft) related to HR and Payroll processes (i.e. core HR, Payroll, Benefits and Benefits Administration, Absence Management, Time and Labour)
• knowledge of enterprise functional and systems analysis related to integration points for core HR modules
• knowledge of related tools, processes, methodologies and planning techniques relevant to the Oracle (PeopleSoft) enterprise HCM system
I&IT Knowledge:
You have:
• knowledge of the software development lifecycle, software design, development and integration as well as user interface design principles
• knowledge of database concepts, including database management, data structures and relational databases
• knowledge of unit and system integration testing techniques, including quality assurance
• knowledge of programming methods, techniques and tools (e.g. Structured Query Language (SQL), PeopleSoft Application Designer)
• experience creating system and configuration changes, as well as interfaces and programs
• experience facilitating integration and generating reports within relational databases
Project and Change Management Knowledge and Skills:
You have:
• knowledge of project management methodologies and practices to lead change initiatives related to enterprise-level HCM system changes and optimizations
• knowledge of change management, including techniques, trends and resources management for an enterprise HCM system
Analytical and Risk Management Skills:
• you can assess business requirements against delivered enterprise HCM functionality to determine impacts to schedule, resources or cost
• you have experience providing recommendations for optimization, and design options suitable for the enterprise HCM application
Communication, Consultation, and Leadership Skills:
You can:
• articulate functional and system-related elements of the enterprise HCM application
• make effective presentations to technical and non-technical clients on the use of software
• manage complex linkages and interfaces among multiple parties
• explain risks and benefits, convince decision-makers of the advantages of specific courses of action or solutions, and manage client expectations
