What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• develop high-level business/user requirements in support of legislative and corporate policy changes;
• lead small inter-disciplinary teams to implement WIN system changes;
• investigate and gather business process needs related to human resources and payroll systems;
• conduct business analysis of proposed changes and make recommendations;
• develop strategies to meet service delivery objectives.

How do I qualify?

Technical and Analytical Skills

• You have knowledge of business analysis and project management theories, including best business practices, performance measurement, bench-marking and business process re-engineering.
• You have knowledge of system analysis design, application engineering methods and techniques and business system applications.
• You have demonstrated skills in/knowledge of HR Information Management systems related to human resources, payroll, absence management, benefits administration, and time and labour.

Project Management and Organizational Skills

• You have experience managing multiple work projects with competing priorities and fixed timelines, from requirements definition to deployment.
• You can oversee testing strategies and change initiatives.
• You can lead high-level client consultations to determine business process needs and requirements.
• You have knowledge of project management functions.
• You have strong organizational skills to prioritize work and project activities.

Communication, Consultation and Negotiation Skills

• You have strong communication skills to interact with clients and provide customer-focused service delivery.
• You can prepare reports, project documentation, and business cases.
• You have excellent consultation skills to lead discussions with clients and diverse user groups.
• You can facilitate problem-solving and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Human Resources Skills and Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of legislation, policies, practices and procedures relating to human resources, and pay and benefits.
• You can understand the impact of legislative changes on HR and business operations.
