What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:
- lead, develop and implement education programs for students and exhibition programs
- consult with stakeholders to determine needs and to develop educational activities
- lead and coordinate project teams
- lead the design and development of exhibitions and related programming
- participate in program evaluation
- prepare communication and briefing material, reports and presentations
How do I qualify?
Technical Expertise:
- you have knowledge of instructional design, implementation and evaluation principles, theories and methods
- you have knowledge of participatory based curriculum design and development
- you have an understanding of the Archives of Ontario mandate
- you have knowledge of archival and preservation theory and practices in order to develop educational and public programming initiatives and gallery exhibitions
Project Management, Research and Analytical Skills:
- you can research and identify opportunities for education and outreach initiatives and develop performance recommendations
- you can lead and coordinate exhibitions and educational projects and administer project budgets
Communication and Relationship Building Skills
- you have stakeholder outreach, engagement and partnership building skills
- you have strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to develop and deliver a range of presentations and materials
Computer skills:
- you are proficient with computer software including database applications to prepare graphics, presentations, reports and monitor budget expenditures.
