The Enterprise Applications Branch of the Central Agencies I&IT Cluster is seeking senior developers, who will have the opportunity to work with leading web technologies on interesting and diverse projects with a motivated and energetic team of IT and new media professionals.

We are seeking Senior Developers in two specific areas:
• .Net Development to support the development of enterprise-wide services
• ETL/Integration development

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Senior Developer, you will:
• provide leadership to the application team in Incident and Problem Management; and 2nd and 3rd level application support
• provide technical expertise in all phases of the system development lifecycle from design, development, testing, and implementation to post-implementation support.
• develop solutions using cutting-edge open-source web technologies to meet clients' IT requirements.
• conduct complex systems analysis, and suggest application improvements and long-term strategies to support business goals.
• conduct testing to ensure developed solutions meet clients' requirements, and perform as expected.
• develop/enhance production support procedures and provide production support for business-critical systems.
• provide technical expertise in collaborating with peers, management, and other stakeholders in all phases of the system development lifecycle utilizing Agile methodology in a DevOps environment.

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• You have demonstrated knowledge, and experience in development, testing, and implementation of web solutions using Microsoft technologies and other emerging web technologies and cloud delivery/deployment models.
• You have demonstrated experience in using markup (HTML, CSS, XML), scripting (JavaScript, Node.js JavaScript framework), procedural, and OO languages.
• You are a full-stack developer with extensive experience in design and development, utilizing current tools and technologies such as C#, .Net Core, Angular, PowerShell, Micro-services, Event driven architecture and Azure Service Bus.
• You have experience in GitHub releases with Azure Pipelines, and ServiceNow integration with Azure Pipelines implementation.
• You are proficient in current modern System Development Life Cycle methodologies and deployment strategies such as Azure DevOps and deployments to an Azure-Web App.
• You have advanced knowledge in scripting and performance optimization of databases such as MS SQL, Cosmos DB and related technologies.
• You have experience working with REST APIs, SQL, and non-relational databases such as Cosmos DB.
• You have experience developing applications in script-based MV* front-end frameworks like Angular (or React) with TypeScript and component libraries.
• You have demonstrated experience with, and knowledge of, cloud architecture, tools, deployment models and best practices.
• You have demonstrated experience in designing, building, and configuring database management systems (Oracle, SQL).
• You have knowledge of the current web (WCAG 2.0+) standards, and security (OWASP) best practices, and experience in their application.
• You have experience using code management tools such as VSTS, and GIT.
• You have experience in Software Development/Design, especially Web Application Development and troubleshooting of large/complex systems.
• You have experience using DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, and can manage bugs, and pipelines and administer multiple projects.
• You have experience using eSMT or other service management tools to manage multiple support queues.

The .Net Senior Developer positions will require:
• advanced knowledge of APS.NET MVC with .Net Core.

The ETL/Integration Senior Developer positions will require:
• experience with data integration, data cleansing, data modelling and analytics
• an understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) concepts and processes in an SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) environment
• demonstrated experience with SQL scripting skills
• demonstrated experience with Multi-Dimensional eXpressions (MDX) Query skills
• experience with Azure Data Warehouse Factory

Analytical and Evaluation Skills

• You have demonstrated experience assessing clients' information/systems needs and leading the development of information technology solutions which are cost-effective and improve clients' program/service delivery.
• You have demonstrated experience analyzing complex system problems and resolving them with minimal impact to the business.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You have demonstrated oral communication skills to make presentations to clients, stakeholders and users to discuss requirements, solution options and recommendations.
• You have demonstrated interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.

Project Management Skills

• You have demonstrated leadership skills to coordinate the development of technical project plans, control project processes, and provide technical leadership to stakeholders.
• You have experience with Agile development methodologies to plan technical activities and schedules by determining technical requirements, resources, and cost estimates.
